8k20 Claro Que Si – An Arc of Parabolas

A skew-whiff all vinyl selection with a (mostly) electronic bent featuring tunes from Cabaret Voltaire, Controlled Bleeding, 23 Skidoo, Mark Stewart, Chris & Cosey, Yello, Can, Coil, Bowie, Tubeway Army, Einsturzende Neubauten, Loop, A Certain Ratio and more including a little Prince from the Black Album bootleg… the phrase “claro que si”, lifted from Yello’s Pinball Cha Cha off their debut LP, means “of course’… I applied this phrase to the non-electronic tracks chosen here, they just seemed to belong… Chris & Cosey and Coil stem from Throbbing Gristle, Coil’s tune feature’s ‘female’ backing vox by Marc Almond, Loop’s Thief of Fire hails originally from Mark Stewart’s Pop Group, the voice on Voice of America is from a Beatles pre concert police pep talk … some of these factoids may be true… It’s all about feel and flow, every show… hope you agree and/or enjoy… originally broadcast on http://www.8k.nz December 4 2016… skew
